Rocky Point is a 6000-acre area of Pine Barrens Forest with open lands and a nice trail system. The State Forest has packed dirt trails, mostly flat, with the family-friendly trails having white marks, and the intermediate ones having yellow marks. The area is subject to seasonal closure for hunting, which begins the first Sunday of January and goes on for the remainder of the month.

Grumman Memorial Park is right next to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Recreational Trail. The park is open every day from 9 a.m.–5 p.m., and features two retired military planes. There are benches and informational plaques to read. It was a cool opportunity to see these aircraft up close and personal in this intimate park.
