Great view from Primosten. There's plenty of parking during the off-season, and the café is open on weekends.

You can stroll around here for hours, simply beautiful

Thanks to its location, Primosten has always been well-protected. To access the island, one first had to lower a drawbridge. This circumstance made a city gate in its usual form unnecessary. Nevertheless, the residents wanted to build a beautiful gate, so they decided to build it in the middle of town. Today, many small shops and restaurants line the city gate.

A short walk along the beautifully made coastal path, no matter what time of day, is simply wonderful... and when the waves hit the beach hard and the spray foams up... the sun warms you and the water shimmers in all refreshing shades of green and blue... then sit down, have something tasty to drink and let your mind wander.
