July 27, 2026, Roški Slap Waterfall

The Roški Slap is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Krka National Park and is located in the middle reaches of the river. Its upper part forms a network of numerous small cascades, which are called „Ogrlice” due to their shape, Croatian for necklaces. Below, the water plunges about twelve meters over a wide main step. From the boat, you have a fantastic view of this natural wonder.

Where the nature trail at Roški Slap crosses the water, a long wooden bridge spans the Krka. It connects the two banks and leads right into the cascade landscape. The Krka flows here over countless travertine steps. From the planks, you look out onto the flowing water and the wooded canyon slopes on both sides. The Krka rushes beneath the boards, and dense greenery grows all around.

The Orthodox Church of St. Spiridon was built in 1876, in the neo-Gothic style, in the eastern part of the settlement. In addition to the contributions of the faithful, the bulk of the funds for the construction of the church were provided by the Austrian government and Emperor Francis Joseph I.
