Min Ryan Park is a modern, family-focused park just a short walk from Wexford town centre. It’s packed with facilities, including a large, well-designed playground with separate zones for younger and older children, a skate park, enclosed basketball and soccer courts and a dedicated dog park. A walking and running track loops around the park, making it popular with joggers. It benefits from free parking (limited at busy times), public toilets and a small coffee and ice cream cabin on site.

Conservation of a chalk homestead on the increasingly popular Forth trails. A local community project that now includes a lot of information about the area. Worth a stop off to explore the trails in the area.

Rocky outcrop with some great trails leading up and down to it. Good view of Wexford if it's clear.

The park is Ireland's largest open-air museum. Over 9,000 years of Irish history is on display. Prehistoric Ireland, Christian and the period of Viking and Norman immigration. You can see straw-covered houses, ring forts, dolmens, stone circles, a church, Viking ship and a Norman castle where the falconry is housed. History comes alive here and is fun for everyone. Admission 14 euros for adults (2023)

The Irish National Heritage Park opened in the Summer of 1987. It's a 35 acre outdoor museum which showcases 16 reconstructed sites, each built using the materials and skills of the period. There is a restaurant as well as guided tours.

Picturesque waterfall crossing the Sow river. Off-road, but suitable for most bike types if the weather has been good. A goos spot to stop for a break or picnic.

Long sandy beach with dunes and forest. Here you can take long walks on the beach. From Curracloe there is a road leading to the car park on the beach. There is also a beach snack bar at the parking lot. There is also a beach supervisor here during the season.
