The section is well-suited for a quick city crossing, but expect many entrances and exits as well as intersections. Especially at major hubs like shopping and business areas, it's worth reducing speed and riding defensively, as cars often turn in late from side streets. If possible, use it more as a connecting route than a relaxed tour, and plan for quieter sections by incorporating alternative routes along the Oder or through side streets.

Definitely visit the Rynek (Market Square) in the evening. The colorful burgher houses look particularly atmospheric then, and all around you'll find many small cafés and restaurants. If you have little time, a walk to Cathedral Island (Ostrów Tumski) is also worthwhile – it's much quieter there, and the illuminated gas lamps create an almost historical atmosphere.

The cycle path is well-suited for commuting or short rides towards the city center or further south, but it's not particularly idyllic. You ride here more efficiently than beautifully – with some traffic noise and typical big-city character. On the other hand, the route is practical, relatively direct, and now quite well connected to the city's cycle network.

The idea to erect a monument to the composer was born in the late 1990s among circles of the Fryderyk Chopin Society of Wrocław. It was about commemorating Chopin's visits to Lower Silesia (he performed, among other places, in Dusznikach-Zdrój, and visited Wrocław several times, including in 1830). The author of the sculpture is the outstanding Polish sculptor, prof. Jacek Dworski from the Wrocław Academy of Fine Arts. The solemn unveiling of the monument took place on September 5, 2004.

At the side entrances to the cemetery grounds, on concrete pedestals, stand four T-34-85 medium tanks. In addition to the tanks, at the main entrance to the necropolis, there are also two ZiS-3 divisional guns of 76 mm caliber. All these vehicles are authentic combat equipment that in 1945 was part of the equipment of the 6th Army of the 1st Ukrainian Front and took direct part in the bloody siege of Wrocław (Festung Breslau). One of these tanks (bearing the side number 212) has a specific story associated with it – in the spring of 1945, it was immobilized/destroyed by German defenders in urban combat at the intersection of today's Haller and Gajowicka streets, after which it was hauled onto a pedestal as a monument after the war.

Pawilon von Wallenberga (Historic gazebo) The most characteristic point of the hill is the wooden, openwork gazebo standing at the very top – the so-called von Wallenberg pavilion. It was erected in 1898 from larch wood, inspired by the Tyrolean/mountain style (the founder was the Wrocław banker Gideon von Wallenberg-Pachaly, and the designer was the prominent building advisor Richard Plüddemann). Unfortunately, on the night of August 7-8, 2018, this beautiful monument was completely burned down as a result of arson. Fortunately, the city decided to restore it – in 2022, the construction of a faithful replica of the gazebo was completed, thanks to which it regained its former glory.

The hill was created at the end of the 19th century (during the establishment of Park Południowy in the 1890s). Surplus earth from excavations for the construction of the nearby freight railway embankment was used for this purpose.
