The Sanctuary of St. Joseph in Prudnik-Las is a unique place combining history, spirituality, and the beauty of nature. Situated on the edge of the Prudnik Forest, surrounded by greenery, it forms part of the Franciscan monastery complex. St. Joseph's Church was built in 1866 and is a destination for numerous pilgrimages. A particularly important period in the sanctuary's history was the years 1954–1955, when the interned Primate of Poland, Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, was imprisoned here.
