One of the three main city gates of medieval Pasłęk, built in the 14th century. Its name comes from the mills located below the hill, which were extremely important for the old communities. The Mill Gate was built in the early 14th century and was one of the most important gates in the defensive system of the city and the castle itself. Located right next to the Teutonic castle, it also served as the main road for the castle crew, was the exit to the routes to Elbląg and Królewiec and to the monastic and city mills at the foot of the castle hill. We do not know its exact original appearance. 17th-century panoramas of the city show a two- or three-storey gate with architecture similar to the Stone Gate. It was significantly lowered in the early 19th century due to its poor technical condition, only the lowest level remained, converted into a small apartment/room. Destroyed in 1945, rebuilt to its pre-war condition in 1996.
