We also had to realize that the railway cycle path has seen better days in some places. Many cracks in the asphalt and on the edges. In May 2026, there were hardly any cyclists around, so we could easily ride around the mentioned spots. A really beautiful landscape and tour from Zlocieniec to Polczyn-Zdroj .

The wooden tower catches the eye, although it seems aesthetically a bit independent of the rest of the lattice-constructed building :)

A rather sad sight, but with a bit of historical knowledge, incredibly imaginative.

The ruins of the Baroque palace in Kłębowiec are the remains of the former residence of the Goltz family, built in the years 1731–1745. The building with a characteristic horseshoe layout once delighted with its rich decorations and elegant interiors. After a fire in 1945, the palace gradually fell into disrepair, and today its picturesque ruins, with remnants of architectural details and a legend of an evil spell, attract history lovers.

The ruins of the castle in Złocieniec, rising on a slope above the Drawa River, are the remains of a medieval stronghold built in the 14th century by the von Wedel family. Over the centuries, the castle was rebuilt many times, losing its defensive character and changing into a Renaissance palace. It survived World War II in its entirety, but in the post-war years it was abandoned and destroyed. Today, you can admire the Gothic cellars and the castle park with a historic alley of elms.

The promenade in Czaplinek is a picturesque section running along the shore of Lake Drawsko – one of the cleanest and deepest lakes in Poland. The route leads through a well-kept area with benches, piers and viewing points, ideal for a break during a bike trip. In the summer, the area is full of life – there is a swimming area, a marina and catering points. The promenade is a great place to relax, watch the water and sunsets.
