You can get here very comfortably via the new, smooth cycle path running along the Dzierżęcinka (Na Jamno street). Look for the turn-off onto a gravel service road just behind the OTO Park shopping complex, heading north towards Jamno. The building itself and the surrounding weir on the river create a unique, almost fairytale-like atmosphere, perfect for a short break. An extremely picturesque and photogenic spot on the cycling map around Koszalin and Lake Jamno! 🚴‍♂️ The stunning building, styled like a small palace with a characteristic turret and columns, is called the "Miller's House" by local residents. Previously, a traditional water mill powered by the Dzierżęcinka river operated at this location, producing up to two tons of flour per day. Although the current building was erected in the 1980s, its interior hides a true technical treasure – a still-functioning, historic water turbine from 1886! Since 1996, the facility has continuously operated as a small, ecological hydroelectric power plant supplying electricity to the grid.

For decades, this and other nearby pumping stations have helped maintain the proper water conditions in the lake's catchment area. Today, the drainage systems around Jamno are subject to ongoing ecological and hydrological debates due to fluctuations in the lake's water level after the construction of storm surge gates on the Jamno Canal. For tourists and local fishermen, this building is a permanent, very characteristic landmark during trips around the reservoir.

This is a hydraulic structure built to regulate the water levels in the surrounding polders and drainage ditches, and to protect low-lying agricultural areas from flooding by Lake Jamno. The distinctive, tall and narrow building with a yellow-orange facade is actually a former transformer station (substation) that powered the electric pumps installed inside. This architectural form was common for engineering installations built in the first half of the 20th century. The facility is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Jamno, near the villages of Dobiesławiec and Podamirowo. It stands right next to the flood embankment, along which a popular cycling route runs.
