A beautiful view from here of Lake Nowogardzkie, about 2.5 kilometers long. At the back, a nice fountain only adds to the charm of this place.

The church in Maszewo is St. Mary's Church - the name comes from Catholic times, according to one source from 1274, and according to another from the mid-14th century. In 1358, Pope Innocent VI approved the title of the church. Inside there is a beautifully carved altar with a copy of the Painting of Our Lady of Częstochowa and a choir. In the church porch there is a late Gothic crucifix from the early 16th century. The church in Maszewo was partially damaged after World War II. The Russians set up a warehouse in the church. After cleaning the church by the first inhabitants of Maszewo, on August 19, 1945, the church was consecrated by Father Bogdan Szczepanowski and the first Holy Mass was celebrated. With this event, religious life in the temple began to develop.

The church in Dobra was founded by the von Dewitz family, the owners of the city. It was built in installments. Its presbytery and sacristy were built in the first half of the 19th century. 15th century. At the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries, the nave was built, and in the 16th century, a chapel next to the presbytery with a gallery was built. In 1742, a half-timbered top of the tower was built. In 1819, 1840 and 1842, further renovations of the church were carried out. In 1897, a new, neo-Gothic tower was built in place of the old tower, which was in poor condition. In the years 1897-1898, a thorough renovation of the temple was carried out. In 1945, the church was taken over and consecrated by Catholics. In 1959, renovation was carried out and it was adapted to the Catholic liturgy.

The first granite parish church in Maszewo was built at the end of the 13th century. Its remains are the lower parts of the tower of today's temple and fragments of the western wall of the nave. By the mid-fourteenth century, two higher storeys of the tower were also built. In the first half of the 15th century, the present nave and presbytery were erected on the plan of the earlier building. In the following years, a sacristy and a chapel of St. spirit. After repairs in 1725 and 1741, the church was plastered inside and out and painted red. In 1790, a storm seriously damaged the building, which was renovated in 1795-1796. Further damage to the tower by the storm took place in 1801 and 1809. In the years 1806–1807 Maszewo and its vicinity were the battlefields between the Prussian and French armies. The French who camped in the city used the temple as a warehouse. In the years 1809-1810 the church was renovated again. In 1819, the church burnt down, in the years 1821-1822 it was rebuilt. It received a new top of the tower and new roofs. At the same time, the plaster from the façade was knocked down, the chapel of St. Spirit, and the sacristy was rebuilt. During World War II, the church was partially damaged, and the Russians turned it into a warehouse. The roof was partially destroyed, which was repaired already in 1945. After the church was tidied up by the first inhabitants of Maszewo, already in 1945 the first mass was celebrated there.
