In the summer months, I'm not even allowed to go there pushing my bike. The bikers who remained seated on the saddle despite being asked to push must have caused this. I was allowed through as an exception with my folded Brompton, after arguing that this bike, when folded, is even classified as hand luggage on the DB, following the intervention of the ADFC.... 😁

But the question remains what the things are doing there, apart from being nice to look at. So the fundamental question: "Is it art, or can it be removed?" 😉 Interesting is that the sculptures apparently were once colorful... 🤔

Highly recommended for a short break. Very friendly staff, great cakes and a small menu with delicious salads, farmer's breakfast, currywurst etc. Open Friday to Sunday.

I think it's good that cyclists don't get their way here. I'm also a cyclist and can dismount when required... Not everyone manages that, a pity...

The North Sea dike is so beautiful because it offers unique relaxation through the combination of vast landscape, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Wadden Sea, and healthy, salty sea air. It is an ideal place to switch off, enjoy nature, experience wide views, and spend a relaxed time. Cycling and hiking on both sides of the dikes is great
