Obvious homage to the main sport practiced on the River Mountains Loop Trail: cycling.

You can get a nice, panoramic overlook of Lake Mead from here. While sitting here you're on the Nevada side of the state line, but the east coast of the lake is technically in Arizona.

This trail runs along the old railroad that was built to facilitate easy delivery of goods during the construction of the dam. It's not paved but the hard packed gravel should be rideable on just about any bike. You'll definitely be glad you took this trail when you see the incredible views across the dam and Lake Mead.

Such a great selection of trails to send all day cruising around. One of our favourite trails was desert cruise. A green trail that takes you back down to the city, floating and flowing away!!

Boulder City is a great place to stay for easy access to the Bootleg trails. You can use the dreamy bike paths to head up to the trails.

The trail to get to the peak is challenging due to the elevation change. However, it is worth the effort because at the top you get great views of Lake Mead and Las Vegas.

An extra little loop you can latch onto a ride. It’s technically a black trail and has some fun little rocky challenges.

Of the three Lakeview trails (Upper, Middle, and Lower), Lower Lakeview trail is the easiest. It is often done in combination with the other two Lakeview trails to make a nice loop. Lower Lakeview trail starts from the main parking area, riding south for about .5 miles before taking a left toward Lake Mead. The trail descends, dropping you in and out of undulating, roller coaster like washes before heading up a steep, loose hill to the Middle and Upper Lake View Trail junction.
