The Shelby Farms Greenline is a completely paved trail that is just over 10 miles in one direction and offers access to numerous parks and other trails in the greater metro Shelby Country trail network. It is a popular path used by a bunch of different trail users, and it features a bunch of different trailheads so that you can start your walk from a number of spots.

Pine Lake is a small reservoir just off the side of the Chickasaw Trail. The view from the trail is a good excuse for a break, and you can even start and finish your walk close to here at one of the park's main parking lots.

There is a completely paved path that circles around the water that is popular amongst runners, walkers, and cyclists, and there is a separate commuter trail that also offers access to the loop trail. There are multiple parking areas around the lake that offer access to the paved trail.
