There are a number of different waterfalls within Ohiopyle State Park. That being said, Ohiopyle Falls is the most visited cascade in the park since it is so close to the Visitor Center. There is a really big wooden viewing deck just below the falls.

This bridge uses an old railroad trestle to carry the Great Allegheny Passage trail over the Youghiogheny River. You get great views from both sides of the long bridge.

The Middle Arbutus Trail follows the Bear Run stream, which feeds the Fallingwater on the other side of Mill Run Road. You have continuous views of the stream, which roars like a full-on river at times.

This is a moderate out and back trail that features a number of waterfalls and stunning views across the river and surrounding mountains. The path is well maintained but can get a bit boggy after rainfall, especially near the river crossing, so best to do after a dry spell.

McCune Trail is a gem of a trail and one of the more secluded walks of the Ohiopyle State Park. The path is well-maintained and follows the highest ridge in the park, there is a bench to sit on with a nice view overlooking the Youghiogheny River Valley. You'll also pass a stone foundation and an old springhouse and pond, which are remnants of the working McCune Farm.

January 20, 2024, Fallingwater

Fallingwater is a masterpiece of organic architecture designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. It was completed in 1937 and features a cantilevered terrace and water cascading through the house. It's a stunning example of a harmony between architecture and nature. The house is unoccupied to allow visitors to appreciate it. Tours of the house come at a reasonable price and you can book them online here fallingwater.org/visit/fallingwater-tours
