Silberkar Gorge

Highlight (Segment) • Gorge

A family-friendly hike of about 35 minutes, covering about 200 meters of altitude. Two waterfalls fall into the gorge, the approximately ten-meter-high Torbachfall and the 70-meter-high Schleierfall.

The water level of the Silberkarbach is unstable, as it is fed not only by rain and meltwater, but also underground through the Silberkarsee. The Silberkarhütte is located at the end of the gorge. It is an ideal spot for a snack with a beautiful view and a starting point for further hikes.

Austria Hut and Dachstein Alpine Museum

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Alpine club hut on the Dachstein. Ideal as accommodation for the Dachstein circuit. The Alpine Museum is located directly in the building and shows, among other things, the history of the Dachstein ascent.

Hofpürgl Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Hofpürglhütte is picturesquely situated in the middle of the Dachstein massif and at the foot of the Great Bishop's Hat. Because of the numerous climbing routes in the surrounding rock walls, hikers, mountaineers and rock climbers meet at the hut. Although the hut is quite large with 29 beds and 71 places in the dormitory, you should reserve your accommodation in advance.

Beautiful to walk/run in good weather, when it rains the trails become small streams> slippery> sure-footedness required, walk with poles if possible
