The palace and park are under the care of the Thuringian Palaces and Gardens Foundation. The palace museum is one of the art museums of the city of Erfurt. The Veste Wachsenburg, often simply called Wachsenburg, is a medieval hilltop castle belonging to the Drei Gleichen in the area of Holzhausen, a district of the Amt Wachsenburg municipality in the Ilm district in Thuringia.
