Great starting climb, but the stairs are showing signs of age, some are completely removed right now and others are tipping over. I'm sure they'll be repairing them soon.

Classic bridge, I was enjoying looking at all the stone work of the walls built around the bridge too today by the stairs going up to Chimney Rock.

They have an amphitheater here right outside the nature store. I'm sure it's not new, but I just noticed it today. I'm guessing they do classes there during the summer.

They had it drained down today and warned not to swim in it. I'm guessing most people weren't going to swim in a 2 foot wide 3 inch deep creek. :) They are doing some road work, I'm guessing that's why it's drained?

It's a big climb up from the creek on the stairs, but that is part of the fun, and they are some amazing views!

Today was the first time I have been to park and seen people in the water, but it was in the 90's in October. I mostly come here in the late fall

The place to buy your parking permit, they also have a activity room for kids, and some fireplaces and firepits and bathrooms.

A fun place to pop in to shop for merchandise to remember your trip, such as hats, shirts, etc. Plus a great place to start your hike from.
