Great trail, can get busy as you get into Rochester, and there are several bridges over highways and such that I'm guessing were not part of the original train line, that would be a lot of climbing for them.

One of our awesome state trails. This one connects Pine Island to Rochester. When you get to the end of the state trail it connects to the city trails. If you keep going down them you'll get to Little Thistle Brewing and John Hardy BBQ, both are highly recommended.

I think this is a former quarry, at least when I first pedaled here maybe 10 years ago, it was fenced off and there were diggers and stuff around the lake. It's definitely at least a run off pond now. But it is a great point to loop around before heading back to Pine Island when doing the Douglas State Trail.

The bike trail was nice, but from looking at the map I thought we would be able to see the lake. Since there are big houses on the other side of the lake, I guess they didn't want people looking at them, so they built a big berm with trees on it that blocks the view of the water and the houses from the bike path.
