Powder Point Bridge is an intriguingly long wooden bridge. If you happen to cross it at the same time as a car, the sound of the wooden boards rattling with the weight of the vehicle is something to behold. Fear not, it will hold the weight of all of you and has done since 1986 when the bridge was rebuilt following a fire. The previous structure was built in 1892.

This is more of a token hill but, considering the fairly flat surroundings, it's a nice prelude to the great water views you can get to the south and southeast.

This is a gorgeous patch of greenery along the Claire Saltonstall Bikeway, also known as the Boston to Cape Cod Bikeway, or Bike Route 1.

This small but picturesque pond on Route 14 (Congress Street) in Duxbury is a calm and peaceful section of road. A man by the name of Reuben Peterson dammed Phillips Brook in the 1730s to power a sawmill, creating this pond and giving it its current name. The lake is suitable for fishing and paddling. There is also a small island in the middle that is much admired by local wildlife.

Really beautiful place to pass through. Popular with people fishing and walking dogs but you can pass through on a bike. Trail is sandy with big stones in it so absolutely not for road bikes! I have a hybrid which was fine. I'm surprised this place isn't more famous because it is such a nice place to visit
