This is a beautiful rolling trail that winds through woods to the south and open fields to the north. At the furthest point from the visitor center you cross Chimney Branch. The trail can be muddy sometimes but overall this is a great loop.

Gasline Cut sits in the middle of Oregon Ridge Nature Center, on top of the Columbia Gas Line. The viewpoint is actually a point where the trail crosses the Gas Line and meets the naturally preserved area, forming a treeless row in the middle of the forest. The Oregon Nature Center has education programs and offers guided visits to learn more about their preservation and sustainability work. Dogs are welcome, but they must be leashed. This trail leads 10 miles (16 km) along Jones Falls, a stream in north Baltimore. Most of the trail leads along bike paths through leafy nature, although some sections follow roads. There are plans to eventually extend the trail to Mount Washington and Lake Roland Park.
