Just a stone's throw from the last houses in the village of Gänserndorf, we come across a small sacred monument. The wooden crucifix is located in an area enclosed on three sides by a wooden fence, with an open fourth side inviting passersby to approach. The name "Hubertus Cross" already hints at its origin, as Saint Hubertus is known primarily as the patron saint of hunters and marksmen: It was donated in 1969 by the Gänserndorf Hunting Society, which had it renovated in 2005.
