Never again, in the forest you will soon be eaten up by mosquitoes, I was lightly dressed and almost ran through to avoid being sucked dry....👎 Also so badly marked that I got lost.

Lake Garder is located in the Sternberg Lake District about two kilometers west of Lohmen in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District. The natural lake is 1.2 km long, 1.6 km with the southern bay, 1.2 km wide and thus occupies an area of around 105 hectares. There is an official bathing area in the Garden district and numerous free, unguarded access points to the lake. The lake also serves a local fisherman who mainly supplies regional hotels and restaurants with fresh fish. The fishing farm Geibrasch in Lohmen issues guest fishing permits. A walk from the rehabilitation clinic leads in a loop to the southern shore of the lake, where the former bathing area of the holiday camp has been preserved as a wild access to the lake.

Lake Garda is about two kilometers west of Lohmen. This natural lake is located in a hilly terminal moraine landscape in the Mittleres Mildenitztal landscape protection area and is therefore also part of the Sternberg lake landscape. There is an official bathing area in the Garden district, and there are also countless unsupervised accesses to the lake. In addition to the bathers, there is also a fisherman who supplies the nearby hotels and restaurants with freshly caught fish.
