This trail goes by several different names, as various routes overlap each other. One is the Consolidated Canal Trail, a partly gravel, largely paved route that runs along all 18 miles of this 1891 canal. From its northern end, you can tie this trail in with cycle trails along other canals.

Sun Circle Trail is a paved multi-use path that goes parallel to the Arizona Canal, Southern Canal and Consolidated Canal, connecting the cities of the Phoenix urban area. The entire loop trail has 300 miles, passing by several parks and preserved open areas.

Paseo Vista Recreation Area is a public park right off of the Consollidated Canal with a range of amenities, including an archery range, disk golf, dog park, pavilions, playgrounds, restrooms, and walking trails. The recreation area was constructed by Valley Rain on top of a closed and capped landfill. Hours are:  6 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
