The Bell Pass Trail covers rocky, desert terrain while it works its way from 1,700 feet (western end) to over 3,200 feet (eastern side). There is a section offering views to the south of Thompson Peak and to the north of Drinkwater Peak and McDowell Peak. This is a pretty runnable stretch of trail compared to some of the other rockier desert trails in the Preserve.
