Inspired by the scenic (fantastic) spot of Frogmore (or Froschmoorstetten) in J.R.R. Tolkiens „The Hobbit" novel, this place reminded me very much on how I imagined this place when I heard about it the first time. Overwhelmed by frogs and toads in the marshes and bogs, an occassional grey winged heron, and swarms of little midgets filling this place with vivid life. It just misses the „Floating Log Inn" :)

On the south side of Ganløse Eget forest there is an impressive tunnel valley, created by meltwater rivers that have eroded the landscape beneath a glacier or ice sheet. As part of such a tunnel valley you can see a pristine lake called Nellesø.
