The Church of St. Wolfgang was a late Gothic building from the years 1470 to 1478, which was demolished in 1721 down to a few walls and rebuilt in Baroque style. The various owners of the castle used the church as a burial place, especially in the 16th and 17th centuries. The church no longer has a tower. The first on the west side burned down in 1722 after a lightning strike, its successor collapsed in 1804 and was no longer replaced. During the communist era, the church fell into disrepair; the interior furnishings were looted or devastated. An association of citizens founded in 2007 takes care of the maintenance and preservation of the building and its remaining inventory. Today, cultural events are offered here. The church is dedicated to Saint Wolfgang of Regensburg, which is to be understood as a reference to the Diocese of Regensburg.

This free-standing pedestrian bridge spans the Slatinný Potok stream, 25 metres above the deeply incised valley. Although it looks quite dilapidated, the bridge, which is sixty years old in its current state, is still completely safe. The bridge shortened the burghers' way to church and connected the two parts of the municipality. Originally, it was a low wooden bridge with statues of saints. However, this was washed away by a flood in 1889. In 1899, the burghers had a new bridge built, this time with high stone pillars and a wooden plank walkway. In the 1960s, these planks were replaced by reinforced concrete.

"Der kleine Franz" primarily refers to the famous statue of Franzl in Franzensbad, a landmark of the city, which is said to help women who wish for children. It is also the title of a well-known children's book series by Christine Nöstlinger, filmed in 2022 and 2023 as Geschichten vom Franz, and tells the story of a small boy often mistaken for a girl.

Very lovely animals! In March 2026, we only found goats (and sheep) and llamas. Unfortunately, we did not discover the pigs.

The pond is a popular spot for birds, frogs, and dragonflies, especially in spring and summer. Carp, perch, and pike also live here—the pond is partly used for fishing. Reeds, water lilies, and rare wetland plants grow in the surrounding area.
