May 6, 2024, Route des Champs: New Section Richelieu–Marieville

Until now, you had the options between the Rang de la Savane (cars, bad tarmac), La Route des Champs (gravel on this part), or the 112 (many cars). Starting in Spring 2024, a new tarmac closes the gap between Richelieu and Marieville to complete the Route des Champs.

Perfect route for hill repeats - if you like climbing or training for an event. Also a great spot with a view (as seen on photo). Stop at one of the apple orchard and enjoy a break/view.

This is a beautiful section of road with good views of the Chambly rapids on the Richelieu river.
