Swimming is permitted, only boats and SUPs are prohibited, but there are still numerous SUPs on the lake. Blindsee is no longer an insider tip. The Blindsee Trail runs around the lake just above the lake, and is also open to mountain bikers, although it is very narrow – be careful of oncoming traffic, including pedestrians. There is a short section of the trail secured with ropes on the north shore. For a lovely hike, you can also include Mittersee, Weißensee, and Biberwier (lake), as well as the Loisach springs. All lakes are privately owned, and failure to follow the signs may result in a trespassing notice.

In warm weather, a spontaneous cooling off in the lake is worthwhile :-)

A beautiful, hidden lake right next to the busy Fern Pass. Stunning scenery, great trails, and stunningly deep blue water. Swimming, boating, and SUPs are not permitted, however.
