The Loop Trail is pretty and not very technical. You'll encounter a few boardwalks, especially on this lower stretch as you approach the road. It's a lovely tranquil setting from which to enjoy the forest.

The Birch Lake 7 camping area (dispersed camping) is just across the trail from this scenic lookout to Arkon Lake. If you manage to portage a canoe, you can access the water from here.

The park claims to have only 22 lakes, but in reality there exists a seemingly endless quiltwork of tranquil backcountry ponds, lakes, and streams that you can explore. Frontenac Provincial Park was established in 1974 and has over 50 backcountry campsites from which to enjoy this remarkable landscape.
