Fisherman's Beach is the smallest beach in the Avila and Port San Luis Harbor. No dogs are allowed on this beach but it can be a great spot to catch a sunset or enjoy the ocean.

Avila Beach is actually an entire unincorporated city, but the actual beach is what draws the crowds. This sandy beachfront is open to the public and features a pier to pair with its coastal views.

The Pismo Beach Pier, situated on 60 acres of beautiful beachfront, is a California landmark with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, the beach, the city, and the surrounding mountains. Stretching over 1,200 feet, it is the 16th longest pier in California. Cycling is permitted on the pier; however, you may want to park your bike, take a stroll and enjoy the view.

This beautiful small harbor is a truly unique setting on the central coast. The original breakwater was built between the 1890s and 1913 to protect the harbor from large waves and heavy surf, and it still serves its purpose today. Itโ€™s not as touristy as some other locations, making it an ideal spot to take a break and walk on the pier. Itโ€™s also a fantastic place to see the sunset if youโ€™re lucky enough to be here in the evening.

Birders, get your bikes (or walking shoes) out: This pedestrian-only bridge over Pismo Creek is a great spot from which to look for birds.

This small but picturesque park features a large anchor, picnic tables, and a fishing pier extending out past the boat docks. All of this makes for a near-perfect view of iconic Morro Rock. If you come early in the morning you are likely to have the place to yourself as the eastern sun lights up Morro Rock.
