The pedestrian crossing lets you enjoy the Ipswich River up close. You can see the water flowing by, which is vital for the town's history and nature. The river has been important for farming, mills, and even fishing for hundreds of years. You can also see the Choate Bridge, built in 1764, making it one of the oldest stone arch bridges in North America. It's truly amazing that it's still used by cars and people today!

Ponds, swamps, rolling hills, and rocky outcroppings can be found in this state forest, which features more than 35 miles of roads and trails as well as remnants of 18th-century farming and milling operations.

There are many trails connected to hike up this Holt Hill from all direction in Andover and North Andover trails. It offers a spectacular view on clear days including the Boston skyline. From here hikers/walkers can take blue loop trail to climb the next hill called Boston Hill and back. The blue trail is my favorite to walk for over 5 miles stroll (OUT AND BACK).
