June 10, 2024, Hearthstone Historic House Museum

Hearthstone Historic House is sometimes called the birthplace of green energy because it was the first private house to be illuminated using hydroelectricity from a central Edison system. Take a tour and see the Edison electroliers, light switches, and more that still remain intact in the house. The home is on the National Register of Historic Places, and it is a great historical and educational stop.

Lake Winnebago is Wisconsin's largest lake that is entirely within the state. It was formed around 12,000 years ago from glacial activity and ice. It's a great place to enjoy the outdoors. You can windsurf, boat, fish and hike around the lakeshore. In winter, you can ice fish and skate too.
