In 1983 the people of Starbuck created the world largest lefse (a soft potato flatbread that originated in Norway) and there's a small museum to commemorate it. There are pictures and stories of the people who made it, the rolling pin created for it, and of course representation of just how large it was.

This simple sign doesn't say much about the trail, but it was used not only to supply Fort Wadsworth (named after Union Civil War General James S. Wadsworth), but also used by traders, settlers, and gold hunters. The trail become obsolete because of the railroad, as well as the shrinking and eventual abandonment of Fort Wadsworth.
