Just where Elkhorn Crest Trail intersects Twin Lakes Trail, you have a stunning overlook of the Twin Lakes with a mountain vista overhead. This would be a great spot to watch the sunset with the light disappearing behind the horizon.

Elkhorn Crest Trail offers the highest elevation singletrack in eastern Oregon. It is a great out and back to the Summit Lake Trail Junction. It's mostly a fast and technical trail and is a blast to ride. There are several mountain goats in the area, so you will likely see some on the ride.
