The Merrymeeting Dog Park' is a great fenced dog park with two separate areas for small and big dogs. There are water fountains in the spring and summer as well as waste stations so you can pick up after your dogs. The dog park is also located along the Androscoggin River Bike & Pedestrian Path so you can take your dog on a nice, long walk after you're done playing at the park.

Sprague Pond, a charming 7-acre walk-in pond with a maximum depth of 24 feet, undergoes thermal stratification each summer. A narrow band of cold, oxygenated water becomes a haven for cold water fisheries management. To enhance winter angling, the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife introduced legal-size fall fingerling brook trout in 2002. These trout may even offer enticing spring fishing opportunities for those who patiently await the thaw.

Beautiful view from the boat launch at Simpson's Point. From this spot, you can see some of the islands in Maquoit Bay. The landing is down a quiet road, so it is a great place to stop for a break.

August 25, 2023, Wharton Point

Wharton Point is named after seventeenth-century Brunswick settler Thomas Wharton. It offers one of the best views into Maquoit Bay. At this point, the bay is shallow, so depending on the tide, the view can change dramatically. It's a popular location for bird watchers, particularly ducks.
