Blue Mountain is the only year-round resort in Ontario. In winter you can enjoying skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. In summer there's hiking, mountain biking, and swimming. The Pretty River flows through forested valleys and farmland south of Collingwood to Nottawasaga Bay and is the second-largest river in the Blue Mountain watershed. Its cold waters provide important habitat for Rainbow Trout, Chinook Salmon, Speckled Trout, and Brown Trout.

The route runs about 1.2 kilometers in length and connects the River Trail area to Highway 26 near the Pilkington Glass site.
