Tips from the Community

Great place along the river for coffee and cake. Although off the main road, this cafe is on NCN Route 51 which is smooth tarmac route along the Ouse. Benefits from seating outside the cafe so that bike doesn't have to be locked up, reducing the faff time.

I'm using this route on the ride from Wootton to Sandy via Danish Camp. It's got a bit of everything, I like it.

This outstanding 16th-century building is a National Trust owned property once used as a dovecote and stables.

Cafes and nice buildings river side. Watch out for the "Rower" on the River Ouse

Great waterside riding through the park on Route 51 or using the cycle friendly paths and trails around Priory.

Great coffee and cycle snacks, the Longholme café is my favourite stop along the river. Still running takeaway from cafe entrance so no need to lock up the bike, reducing faff. A few wooden reels to sit under the trees and enjoy your treat.

Great stretch alongside the Ouse. Some road noise from the bypass but doesnt detract from a lovely circular route.
