Just splendid examples of Dorset 'Hollows' country roads. Very quite and a joy to cycle on.

This house regularly has some really nice flowers and veg with honesty box. Beats pitching up at petrol station on Valentines day.....

A picture-perfect rural village, it’s worth stretching your legs in Mappowder and strolling around the interesting 15th century church. Also, those lanes that surround the village are tip-top for riding. (Dirty and dangerous in the depths of winter, but usually very quiet all year-round).

Traditional North Dorset riding territory with tiny lanes, narrow hollows and lots of fords. Watch out for the fords as they're slippery under your tyres! (The name alone deserves to be a stand-out place, right?)
