The monumental sculpture is located in the Plaza del Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. It was created in 1927 by the artists Pedro Muguruza and Lorenzo Coullaut. The sculpture is 40 meters high and consists of a stone base and a bronze statue depicting Jesus Christ with outstretched arms. The statue, which was formerly black, has been cleaned and is now gold.
