Here you have to cross the Riu Albaida, which is not a big problem when the water level is low. There are pipes and gravel. Otherwise you can just drive through standing up without getting your feet wet.

The La Cova Negra municipal natural area is located in the municipality of Játiva, province of Valencia. In the Cova Negra is the Middle Paleolithic site in which remains of Homo Neanderthal have appeared. This natural area is located in the narrow valley formed by the Albaida River, as it crosses the reliefs of the Sierra Grossa, at the exit of the so-called Estret de les Aigües. In the widest meander formed by the Albaida River, at the height of Pico del Paller, you can see the Cova Negra, named for the blackish appearance of its walls.

This point is a great viewpoint. Below is the figure of the castle tower and in the background the valley. The Castillo de Carrícola rises on a rock above the town. A trail leads to the remains of the wall and the high tower through the beautiful ravine of the Castellar.

It has all the necessary services, showers, toilets, electricity, WIFI connection, plenty of shade and good size plots. The managers are very friendly and willing to help with whatever is necessary. The price of the camping plot, as of July 2023, is 15 Euros.
