Here you have to cross the Riu Albaida, which is not a big problem when the water level is low. There are pipes and gravel. Otherwise you can just drive through standing up without getting your feet wet.

This point is a great viewpoint. Below is the figure of the castle tower and in the background the valley. The Castillo de Carrícola rises on a rock above the town. A trail leads to the remains of the wall and the high tower through the beautiful ravine of the Castellar.

La Font Freda is a small recreational area next to a historic fountain, and a nearby viewpoint, which usually flows with fresh water even in the summer season. Its history, as we could read on the existing signage on site, is linked to the town, where in past centuries, the Marquises of Albaida and their subjects from Atzeneta and Carrícola claimed possession of the fountain, a lawsuit that gave it its name. to the nearby ravine called del Pleit -lawsuit-. The same recreational area where the Font Freda and the nearby viewpoint are located can be reached by bike or car along the forest track, making it a perfect plan for those who want to do a mountain bike route.

It has all the necessary services, showers, toilets, electricity, WIFI connection, plenty of shade and good size plots. The managers are very friendly and willing to help with whatever is necessary. The price of the camping plot, as of July 2023, is 15 Euros.

A beautiful and quiet place that has a picnic area, a fire area, plenty of shade, games for children and right next to the fountain, the public campsite of El Palomar. A very popular place for families to spend a day outdoors and enjoy the wonderful environment that surrounds it.

In this place there was the Convent of the Order of the Sants Metges that dated from the 17th century. Today only the access door and some sections of the wall of that original building remain. Right at the entrance there is a source of drinking water, and within the enclosure some benches and trees that provide shade, much appreciated on summer days.
