Apellániz has very interesting architecture and emblazoned buildings. The Palacio de las Neiras stands out. There are some sculptures by Gregorio Valdivieso and Juan Antonio Moraza as well as embroidered ornaments from the s. XVI and a relic of the Lignum Crucis. At one point it had more people living here, but now it only has about 105 residents. There are many interesting and enjoyable trails that go through here.

This old train bridge was part of the Vasco-Navarro Railway but is now part of the Vía Verde. It is the perfect way to cross the river on foot or by bicycle.
