The best MTB trails around Pozuelo De Calatrava

Built in the early 16th century, it was one of the chapels that emerged in the outlying neighborhoods of Almagro. In the 17th century, it was expanded to include the chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. In the 19th century, it housed images from the nearby Hermitage of Santiago, which was in poor condition. It was destroyed during the Civil War and rebuilt in the 1980s by architect Miguel Fisac, who applied modern techniques such as the use of white concrete in flexible formwork for the porch.

The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption in Almagro is a historic building located on Calle de Campo Calatrava. Built primarily in the 16th century, this church features a late Gothic style with Renaissance elements. Its structure includes a Latin cross floor plan, three longitudinal naves and one transverse nave, and a square tower with four floors and a bell tower. The Hermitage of Santo Cristo de la Clemencia in Valenzuela de Calatrava is a historical treasure. Built at the end of the 17th century, this small baroque-style hermitage is located next to the Pellejero stream. Originally, it had a single nave, but later a second transverse nave was added, giving it a plan in the shape of a Latin cross. At the head of the main altar there is the image of the Holy Christ. 😊
