The Church of the Assumption was built in the 15th century on the foundations of an earlier 13th century church-fortress. The tower of the military building was used to build the bell tower of the current church. The church has been declared a Historic-Artistic Monument. Inside, it preserves excellent altarpieces from the Andalusian school such as that of Santa Catalina and that of San Jerónimo. We can also admire a beautiful baroque organ.
