The Palau Novella or Garraf Buddhist Monastery is a former Indian house that today is the Sakya Tashi Ling Buddhist monastery. It is located in the Garraf Natural Park, in the Plana Novella urbanization, in the municipality of Olivella.

Of neo-Gothic and modernist style, it was built in the 19th century by Pere Domènech i Grau, an Indian who returned from Cuba after making his fortune there. Years later, the owner, burdened by debt, sold the palace to a community of Augustinian religious, and in 1996 it was acquired by a Buddhist community who restored it and created a museum. The monastery can be visited, more information at monjesbudistas.org

Hape Kerkeling, a well-known entertainer in the German-speaking world, wrote down some thoughts about a mystical experience (encounter with God) while traveling through Spain, which I would also like to offer to the viewer of this small sacred monument: "To encounter God, one must first extend an invitation to him, for he will not come uninvited. It is also a form of good manners. We have free choice. He builds an individual relationship with each person. Only someone who truly loves is capable of this." (Hape Kerkeling in "Ich bin dann mal weg")

To get to the top, I went along the Ratpenat road until a detour that goes there. The entire route is accessible by bike except for going up to the peak of the mountain, where you have to go downhill and push it along a complicated path, especially at the highest part. The views are worth it!!

A classic stretch for cyclists in the area. Following the edge of the swamp, with ups and downs, it is a very pleasant area to ride a bike and ride with force and changes of pace.

If the climb is from Sant Boi it will be more sustained, from Viladecans it is more broken and with a couple of sections that are a little bit rough, especially the last one, but they are not impossible.
