Mount Forchat

Highlight • Summit

A lookout point with almost panoramic views and there is plenty to see in all directions (on a clear day).
An orientation sign allows you to better find your way around the environment. With a bit of luck you can watch the gliders that took off from Ramble with the winch from here.

The descent towards the south is steep and karst.

Dent d'Oche summit

Highlight • Summit

At 2,221 meters, the Dent d'Oche is one of the most emblematic mountains of the Chablais massif.

From its summit, the panorama over Lake Geneva is gigantic. In the background, the curves of the Jura delimit the horizon. On a clear day, to the east, you can observe Geneva. Heading south, Mont Blanc is also easily recognizable.

For bivouac enthusiasts, note that a small square meter of stony flat level the summit.

Le Morclan Summit

Highlight • Summit

I can recommend the Morclan peak in Châtel to every tourist, especially families. We have been going to Chablais for 10 years and have our "base" in Saint-Paul-en-Chablais, above Évian-les-Bains. The Morclan is 1970 meters high and accessible in Châtel by a Télécabine and a Télésiège. The leisure area in the border area of Châtel and the Swiss border, in total the Valée d'Abondance, is called "Porte du Soleil". You can buy a multipass at the Télécabine ticket office, which gives you discounted access to and from the station and other leisure facilities in and around Châtel. In good weather you can see Mont Blanc and sometimes, rather rarely, as far as the Eiger, Jungfrau and Mönch in the Bernese Alps. We have been to the summit several times and have also tried different routes for the descent to the middle station. You can also descend from the summit to Châtel or on the other side, towards Switzerland and the Rhône Valley.

Pic Boré

Highlight • Summit

Beautiful summit with a panoramic view. Unfortunately no summit cross - lower peaks in the area have one.
The ascent is mostly on roads in the ski area.
Shortly before the summit, a karst gully has to be climbed. The rating with difficulty T3 is a bit high.

Signal of the Voirons

Highlight • Summit

There are two signposts called "Signal des Voirons", about 50 meters apart. One is at the top, the other at a viewpoint with orientation panels.
On a clear day, the views towards Lake Geneva or the mountains are phenomenal.

Le Signal des Voirons Summit

Highlight • Summit

The Voirons signal, culminating at 1,485 meters, offers an exceptional panorama of the Alps, the Jura, and on a clear day, Mont Blanc. Accessible through the Voirons forest, this viewpoint is worth it, but the reward is breathtaking. The trails wind between fir trees and beech trees, offering glimpses of the Geneva Valley and the lake below. Perfect for a contemplative break, it is a popular site for mountain bikers and nature lovers.

Cornettes de Bise summit

Highlight • Summit

Magnificent spot with 360 degree view. Be careful in wet weather, the ascent or descent to the pas de la Bosse from the cornette de bise is dangerous in places due to very slippery rocks on exposed and vertical passages.

Pointe de Nantaux

Highlight • Summit

It's very steep to the summit, but worth it for the amazing views of Mont Blanc and the Morzine area.

I would only attempt to reach the summit in good weather and you need a head for heights.

A very beautiful peak. Its striking shape attracted me from a distance. That's what a mountain should be like. Some climbing required. Great view. The Chablais is a very beautiful mountain range. Visible as far as Mont Blanc.

One of my favorite places in the whole of Chablais. A very steep climb but so beautiful😻😻 If you are looking for a tour between 10 and 20km you can start from Essert la Pierre, go up to Tavaneuse then Nanteaux and come back in a loop (basically that's about it)
