Magnificent view from the tip of the cape and from above

Several walking options are available. Either an out-and-back on the paved road starting from Cruzy (7.4km, 130m elevation gain), or a loop that turns towards Villespassans without actually reaching it, skirting around L'Estagnol and descending to the right to the Chapel of Sainte Foi (10km, 210m elevation gain). A small correction regarding the incorrect names: The first gorge at Roquefourcade (the village spring) is called Marie-Coquette, the ruined building after the small Chapel of Sainte Foi is called the Sainte Foi Sheepfold, and the second gorge that climbs towards Les Gyssières (Platières) is called Marie-Close. This walk is especially recommended after the spring rains when there is water in the Nazoure River and waterfalls at Marie-Close.

Above Saint-Martin-de-l'Arçon, a superb view unfolds over the valley and surrounding hills. Choose a sunny day with clear skies to fully appreciate its beauty!

The "tower" is simply a pile of stones. However, the highest point of the plateau is still worth the climb; the view is magnificent in all directions. On a clear day, you can see the Mediterranean from over 1,000 meters above sea level. And on an even better day, you can see the Canigou and the main ridge of the Pyrenees. At night, the city lights are impressive (watch out for wild boars on the way to the parking lot).

A superb 360-degree viewpoint that is well worth it! Be careful if you choose to descend by any path from the summit, expect trails with difficulty levels S3-S4!
