Château de Landas is a castle located in the commune of Loos in the Nord department, France. The castle is named after a powerful seigniory from the 11th to the 16th century, protected by the abbeys of Marchiennes, Saint-Amand, Cysoing and even by the chapter of Tournai Cathedral. The castle was owned in the 15th century by Jean de la Haye, nicknamed le Gantois, who is said to have been the founder of the Hospice Gantois in Lille. Louis XIV established his headquarters there in August 1667 at the beginning of the Siege of Lille, before moving to a farm on the Chemin de Lannoy in Fives. The property was acquired in 1920 by Liévin Danel, who carried out renovations. The castle, located on the route of the Lille-Dunkerque motorway, was moved in 1961 over a distance of about a hundred metres.
