Anyone who fancies some action, nature, and a relaxing time by the water should visit the Chill & Ride Wake Park in Orgon. The wake park is located in the beautiful surroundings of the Alpilles and offers a great mix of wakeboarding, relaxation, and good vibes. Beginners are also welcome here: with the help of the coaches, you can make your first attempts on the board and receive helpful tips to make quick progress. Cycling along the Durance is a beautiful tour where the alpine landscape and Provence combine. My tip: don't ride the whole route at once, but especially enjoy the sections between Briançon, Embrun, the Lac de Serre-Ponçon and Sisteron. There, wild mountain valleys, turquoise lakes, small villages, and later lavender fields and orchards alternate.

A practical little supermarket in the middle of Sénas. You can find everything for daily needs, the staff are friendly and the shop is well located. Especially practical are the long opening hours and the possibility to quickly shop on Sunday mornings too. A good place for a quick shop without long journeys.

If you want to experience Provence away from the major tourist spots, Orgon is a real insider tip. The small village is located on the northern edge of the Alpilles between Avignon and Aix-en-Provence and combines nature, history, and Provençal serenity.

The historic suspension bridge of Mallemort is a real highlight for anyone interested in history, architecture, and beautiful views. Built between 1844 and 1848, the bridge spans the Durance river and is now a listed monument. Although it is currently not open to public traffic, the view of the impressive structure alone is worth it. Especially at sunrise or in the late afternoon, it offers a wonderful photo opportunity with the picturesque village of Mallemort in the background. Combine the visit with a walk through the historic town center or a bike tour along the Durance.

Built in the 15th century on the remains of a castle, the château received a Renaissance-style extension in the 16th century. Ownership changed frequently; almost 100 years ago, a private individual saved the château from decay. After his death, it was bequeathed to a foundation, which has used it for cultural events ever since. Albert Camus, for example, has performed here. The path to the château is worthwhile, even if you don't want to visit it, as it offers a fantastic view of Lourmarin.
