The architectural heritage of this village bears witness to the prosperous years of the Forges and other industries of Pontenx in the 18th and 19th centuries: bourgeois residences nestled in a park, buildings clad in garluche or even brick houses beautifully decorated with flowers. In secondary roads and side roads are numerous magnificently restored airials. The airial of Bouricos, open to the public, is a very fine example: located in the heart of the pine forest, the site is a true haven of peace with its 13th century chapel whose ceiling has been magnified by a sculpture in wooden lace and a little further back, the St Jean Fountain, which is said to be miraculous.

The Mimizan Current Bridge provides a link between the northern and southern parts of the Landes seaside resort. This bridge overlooks the Mimizan Current which flows into the Atlantic Ocean. Downstream of the bridge is a small salty area subject to the influence of the tides. This type of space remains rare in the Landes natural environment.
